Shaman King: Flowers was Hiroyuki Takei’s first true sequel manga serialization for the Shaman King series. It was originally printed in Jump X (Kai) magazine. For the later chapters it also ran in parallel with the sequel series Shaman King: Zero.
Within Jump X, a small portion within the margins of the chapter was reserved for author comments in each series. The only exception was in the final issue of the magazine where Hiroyuki Takei wrote a comment that covered both Shaman King: Zero and Shaman King: Flowers.
